The Aegean Riviera-inspired landscape design for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bodrum, Turkey, would seamlessly blend the luxurious amenities of the hotel with the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. The landscape beautifully complements the villa's low, horizontal composition and linear lines.
The heart of the landscape is a central courtyard, creating a tranquil oasis that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. The rectangular infinity pool with dark blue, light gray ceramics takes the center stage, mirroring the villa's linear forms. The pool's reflective surface enhance the sense of space and serenity, while underwater lighting could lend a magical ambiance in the evening. The beige patio furniture accompanying the pool, offer a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and peaceful break during the day and the night.
Upon entering the villa, you are greeted by an expansive foyer adorned with a cascading chandelier that bathes the space in a warm, luminous glow. The opulent marble flooring, polished to perfection, reflects the light and adds an extra layer of luxuriousness to the ambiance.
Native Coastal Plant Palette
The landscape's plant palette would consist of native coastal species that thrive in the Mediterranean climate. Lavender, rosemary, bougainvillaea, lemon trees, palm trees, cactus and lush green grass would add vibrant pops of color against the neutral backdrop of the villa's architecture. These plants would not only enhance the aesthetics but also release fragrant scents, creating an immersive sensory experience.
